2021 JEEP GLADIATOR REVIEW

2021 Jeep Gladiator Review

Buyers in Amherst, Nova Scotia, know that off-roading adventures can be super fun. But they also might find themselves a bit perplexed by the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Is it a truck? Is it a Jeep? Well, it's both! This mid-size pick-up truck pulls double-duty while being superbly fun to drive. Amherst Chrysler is your local preferred Jeep Chrysler dealership located in Amherst, Nova Scotia, serving Maccan, Sackville, and Springhill's surrounding areas. Before you browse our New Inventory of Jeep Gladiators, let's go over some of the vehicle's specifications.

The 2021 Jeep Gladiator is just downright cool with its strange mash-up of a Jeep and a pick-up, making it a unique vehicle on the road. Under the hood, you get a standard 3.6-L V6 engine that generates a power output of 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, allowing for smooth acceleration and optimal efficiency. You can opt for a 3.0-L turbo-diesel V6 that gives the vehicle 260 horsepower and a massive 442 lb-ft of torque, which transforms the driving experience. The 3.6-L comes with a standard 6-speed manual transmission but has an optional 8-speed automatic. And that's just the tip of the iceberg since you get a ton of standard features from Jeep that make the Gladiator even more enjoyable to drive. That's not to mention the Jeep Gladiator towing capacity, which maxes out at 4,500 pounds when equipped with the Rubicon package.

Exterior & Interior

The Jeep Gladiator comes with multiple packages that allow you to change its exterior appearance to fit your style. The base Sport can be equipped with the Willys Sport, Sport S, the Willys, and the 80th Anniversary Edition special for the 2021 model year. If you want automatic headlights and heated side mirrors, the Overland trim is for you. Upgrading to the Rubicon adds a 4.10 rear axle ratio that enhances off-roading performance, and you get massive 33-inch all-terrain tires equipped. It also has increased ground clearance with its fenders, allowing for better off-roading capability. The Mojave has a reinforced frame, a Desert Rated badge, and a 1-inch lift on the front suspension. Interior features include power windows and locks, a 7-inch infotainment display, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic climate control for extra comfort.

Available Trims

Sport Model

The base Sport trim comes equipped with manual door locks, crank windows, and manually adjustable side mirrors. The tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel is also manually adjusted, allowing for optimal positioning. This trim has cruise control, an eight-speaker sound system, a single USB outlet, a 5-inch touchscreen display, and voice controls. Additionally, the Sport has removable doors, a fold-down windshield, and a soft top that folds. The Sport trim has an optional auxiliary switch group that allows you to wire up to four devices. You can also opt for a spray-in bed liner and black hardtop for additional ruggedness.

Overland Model

The Overland upgrades you to automatic high beams, power windows, power door locks, and a power locking tailgate. There is also an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and power heated side mirrors. You even get upgraded to a larger infotainment screen featuring smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Two USB ports are equipped, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and automatic climate control.

Rubicon Model

The Rubicon is the most off-road-oriented trim level with its 4.10 rear axle ratio, a unique two-speed transfer case, massive all-terrain tires, increased ground clearance and locking front and rear differentials making its drivetrain off-road proof. The suspension features a front stabilizer bar that can be electronically disconnected, Fox shock absorbers, skid plates, and rock rails that serve to protect its body.

Mojave Model

As the name suggests, this trim is desert-rated! Its reinforced frame is extra durable, and its transfer case is specifically tuned to run 4WD while you're driving at a higher speed. There are also Fox internal bypass shock absorbers that come with hydraulic jounce bumpers.
