Interior Improvements of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator
While there's much excitement to note under the Jeep's hood, there are some equally notable updates to its interior and appearance. The interior now comes with some other standard technology not previously offered in 2020.
80th Anniversary Edition Jeep Gladiator
You can modify the Jeep's exterior quite easily if you opt for the two new packages available in 2021, including the 80th Anniversary Edition. This package gives the Jeep 18-inch alloy wheels with a custom Granite Crystal finish. The 80th Anniversary Edition package also outfits the Gladiator with body-coloured fenders. It comes with special badges on the outside and exterior trim with a neutral grey metallic paint colour to finish it off. The interior contains a new 8.4-inch infotainment screen and cloth seats with embroidered commemorative badges and a black diamond colour scheme.
Jeep Gladiator Willys
The other optional package is the Willys. The Gladiator Willys has some more performance-oriented elements than the regular Gladiator, including 32-inch Firestone tires and polished black 17-inch wheels. Rock rails and a limited-slip differential are other highlights of the Willys trim package. As with the 80th Anniversary Edition, the Willys package includes unique decals on the outside. A military colour theme and four-wheel drive are other highlights of this custom trim package.
Benefits of the EcoDiesel Engine
The EcoDiesel fuel economy in Amherst, Nova Scotia, is quite impressive. With the diesel engine beneath its hood, the Jeep Gladiator can reach up to 260 HP, and 442 LB-FT in torque, which is more than most of its competitors can achieve. The Gladiator that uses the diesel engine is expected to achieve up to 37 kilometres per litre, which is a 25 percent higher fuel economy than the Gladiator gets when igged with the gasoline V6 engine standard the regular Gladiator model. When further broken down, the diesel-powered Gladiator will get about 35 kilometres per litre in city driving and 41 kilometres per litre on the highway. However, some variations to the engine's maximum fuel economy are based on certain factors such as trim level (the Rubicon, in particular, gets a slightly lower power output based on its heavier tires) and the suspension that you order for your trim if there are alternates available.
The Jeep gladiator Transmission and Towing capabilities
The diesel engine will be paired with an automatic transmission no matter what trim level you buy, and you can expect to get up to 804 kilometres per tank in between refuelling stops. The diesel engine provides the Jeep Gladiator with tow ratings up to 7,650 pounds.
