Selection Specialist 


There has never been a better time to be part of our Sales Team selling Ram, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep! Amherst Chrysler has been retailing vehicles successfully for over 50 years. We're looking for a Selection Specialist to come and join our Amherst Chrysler team here in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

 

As a Selection Specialist, you will be directly responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles by appointment, internet leads, walk-ins, and through your own prospecting. You will assist customers throughout every stage of their auto purchase and ensure that they find the vehicle that is right for them.

 

Your specific duties will include:

  • Consulting with customers to determine their wants and needs in a vehicle
  • Conducting walk-arounds with customers and demonstrating automobile features
  • Ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features and warranty
  • Conducting price negotiations on vehicles
  • Demonstrating an understanding that business is built on excellent customer satisfaction and being committed to providing first-rate customer service
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Maintaining an excellent knowledge of new products, features and accessories available, and explaining their benefits to customers
  • Attending product and sales training courses paid for and provided by the dealership at no cost to you
  • Complying with all company policies, procedures and safety standards 

 

Requirements

As a Selection Specialist, you must embody Amherst Chrysler's stellar community reputation of honesty, integrity and superior customer service. We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic, approachable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced  environment where every day brings new challenges. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

 

The ideal Selection Specialist will also have:

  • Proven track record in sales; automotive sales experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to think outside the box, establish rapport and build relationships to ensure repeat customers
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong follow-through skills  
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract
